Harptallica to be a Guest Artist at LSU Recital Hour

Harptallica will be gracing the stage of the LSU School of Music with their presence Thursday February 1 at LSU's Recital Hour.

Recital Hour begins at 1:40 and goes until 2:30 and features students as well as local musicians. Harptallica will perform last on the program and will play "The Unforgiven" and their favorite "Orion."

Recital Hour is free of charge.

Ashley Toman has finished the recording of the Metallica Tribute CD that she did with harpist Patricia Kline. The CD titled "Harptallica" took 2 days to record and contains the songs: Enter Sandman, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Unforgiven, Battery, Master of Puppets, Fade to Black, Orion, and One.
It will be available in early 2007, and a website is under construction.

The album is to be a duo harp tribute to Metallica and will contain 10 Metallica songs arranged for two harps by Ashley. Hey all,
Just wanted to make an announcement on an upcoming event. My friend harpist Patricia Kline is playing her Master's Degree Recital Feb 5 at 7 PM Kilborun Hall, Rochester NY
Patty is my dear friend and collegue, we go back 6 years. She has asked me to perform The Aria in Classic Style for 3 Harps with her and another harp friend Mary Marshall.
The Aria in Classic Style is a well known piece in the small world of harp written by famous French Harp Grand-dad Marcel Grandjany, and the part was revised by Kathleen Bride.
The only sad thing is that the performance is Super Bowl Sunday. I guess I will have to find myself one of those little mini Tv's to have with me back stage.
